Hello! My name is Katelyn Daniel. I am proud to say I have grown up with horses always being a big part of my life. Just as with many things, I started out as a beginner and worked my way up to the professional level in many respects. I started out running barrels at local shows and that love turned into showing Tennessee Walking Horses on the national level. The highlight of my show career happened in 2007. I won two world titles, World Champion and World Grand Champion, on a horse my family had raised from a foal and I trained as a youth rider.

However, my love for draft horses began when I received a book for my birthday in 1997. The book had all of the horse breeds, and I remember when I flipped to the page with all the various draft breeds, I knew I would have one of some type. One year, the Budweiser Clydesdales came to Spencer and I made vow that I would have one one day. 

 

When I was 27, I rescued my first draft horse, a percheron gelding. Ever since I made the leap into drafts, I have had the opportunity to own some beautiful Percherons. In 2023, I finally got my very first Clydesdale. Now in 2024 I have several Clydesdales, and I even added one to my new lesson program!

My plan is simple. I want to share my love of draft horses with more people than just myself. I want people to have an opportunity to interact with these gentle giants as I do. 

​
